The DAO is an on-chain smart contract system based on OpenZeppelin Governor.
Members of the DAO can directly interact with the DAO using Tally.xyz Users are required to delegate their votes to either themselves or other community members to participate in governance. Voting, Delegating and executing Votes on chain costs gas. The community is welcome to also use a free voting tools like Snapshot, but all onchain activities (such as spending money) will need to be enacted on chain.
The purpose of the DAO is to advance LGBTQ+ causes in Web3. The DAO community will need to find the best way to do this together as a community.
The DAO will control a treasury that will hold:
The royalties from 50% of secondary market sales on OpenSea
Half of the Ape+Alien PridePunks supply
Approximately 300 general PridePunks
Users will be able to claim voting power tokens to participate in the DAO, on chain. This type of DAO requires users participation to enact decisions. It is necessary to claim a new Voting token as the 2018 PridePunk token is not compatible with Snapshot or OpenZeppelin Governor.
