Short updates!

Sept, 2023

As you might have noticed, the crypto market has imploded and NFT’s are in a nuclear winter. Even worse, the royalty platforms like OpenSea stopped supporting royalties sometime ago, so there is no more royalties that are being received from OpenSea to the DAO.

The DAO still has money in the treasury, which can be spent by the DAO in a decentralized way. (The creator Dennison Bertram does not have control over it). For the moment the community has decided to wait to see if there are better times ahead.

For now the DAO is sleeping. The money is held safely in the smart contracts and is dependent on the DAO to manage as they vote to decide. There has been discussion among members about closing the DAO or upgrading the smart contracts to a simple system, but so far no action has been taken.

Hopefully one day the enthusiasm and joy of digital art will return. Thankfully, PridePunks will continue on as they always have, as wonderful digital art work.

Pride Punk Improvement Proposal number 6 has passed!

This makes some important changes to the project:

• All future royalties from secondary market sales, starting at block 14775115, will go directly to the PridePunkDAO. Previously the Pride Punk Royalties were split between the Pride Punk DAO and a Diversity and Inclusion project created by Dennison Bertram. This means going forward the Pride Punk DAO will have 100% ownership of it’s royalties.
• A marketing Committee has been created and was funded directly by the Proposal
